Who is eligible to attend Navigate 2012?
- Alberta high school students, 14 years and older, and teachers
- Schools can apply with a team of 2 teachers and 4 students (note: student rooms are double occupancy so equal gender ratios are required, teacher rooms can be single or double occupancy)
Where is the summit?
The Navigate 2012 Summit is in Kananaskis. Bordering the town of Canmore and Banff National Park, Kananaskis is located in the Alberta Rockies 85 km west of Calgary. The summit takes place at the award-winning Delta Lodge at Kananaskis. Accommodations are same gender, double occupancy. The Delta Lodge is located at 1 Centennial Drive in Kananaskis Village (Directions)
What’s covered?
Both students and teachers receive a full-scholarship to attend the summit.
Meals, accommodation and events
Inside Education will provide all meals, accommodations, conference registration and social events during the summit.
Supply Teacher
If necessary, each attending teacher may apply for a maximum $150 subsidy per day toward the cost of a substitute teacher for Thursday, March 15 and Friday, March 16. It is the responsibility of the school to make substitute teacher arrangements.
Travel
Travel arrangements to and from the Delta Lodge in Kananaskis are the team’s responsibility. Schools can apply for a travel subsidy to offset travel costs.
